Dear all

I would like to submit another idea based on my needs, where also other parents are very sensitive. 

In one hand I have a lot of constraints like above all are work, time, only parent, a car and Money/budget; in the other hand kids activities, doctors appointements, school runs/commutes. I'm one of the very active client of the wonderful service RuffBus and I really thank the Commune for this service, even if it's not always easy and smooth it's a vital service for me and many other people. The point is that Ruffbus for Bartreng is just within the commune (+CHL) 

A regular door to door outside the Commune offered by many operators (sales lentz/ Demi Schandler etc) without a partnership is difficult to afford too. That's why scouting the market I bumped into an interesting company

it's called BUMMELBUS With a very low fee (in case the Commune can't afford all cost) it is possible to have a service door to door. They have an App too, but for the moment it's just available on the north of our Country

Let's make few examples of usability:

1) Dentist for kids: a 12 years old girl can be picked up from home to be drop off to her dentist for adjusting her brace in Merl and then she can come back with the same service. It's a real help for family and it's not necessary for a parent to take a leave in order to do this task.

2) EIGT Primaire Cessange_Bertrange: EIGT secondary school is well served not only by School bus but in case of missing the bus there are nuimber 5 and 6 to let them come home. The problem is for EIGT primary school pupils that it's in Cessange. There is no easy public transportation to get to Cessange from Bertrange. The school bus runs with school time schedule that it means that Monday Wednesday and Friday the kids will be at the bus stop Gemeng at 16:42 and Tuesday and Thrusday at 12:47. So for many of parents is not a feasible scheduling and those kids can't use Bartreng Maison Relais. In this case many parents will be interested to have a bus to pick them up at 17:30 for example to drop off them at home safe, avoiding useless traffic to cover the same distance and it's limited the ecological impact too.

3) Breaking a leg: you need to go to work because your employer can't let you to homework. Taxi is too expensive so with this service you can schedule your trip avoiding to lose the job and it's cost effective.

4) My dauthers wanted to go to Tennis club Bertrange but when I discover that the trainings are in Kockelscheuer so it was not a feasible sport that they could practice 

So in the end the idea is to improve RuffBus initiative with a door to door service and in case of necessity with eventually a minimum contribution by the family in case the commune evaluates that it's necessary. I'm not sponsoring Bummelbus but this coud be an idea to evaluate. I contacted them for understanding if it was possible to have the conditions that our Gemeng can be partner of them but they insisted that it should be the Gemeng to contact them.

Unfortunately I can't quantify the budget so I'm going to estimate it considering only to implement a bus EIGT CESSANGE - BERTRANGE in addition of the school bus time schedule that actually is running, so to be ready for the next year 09/2025. So EIGT Cessange could be an example but contacting families in this situation offering this new available service could be a start to estimate the real interest.

Considering a max cost of 500€/day per 4 weeks per 10 months without a family contribution it's 10.000€ month so 100.000€ per year.

As I said it could be a regular scheduled service as suggested but it could be extended and well developped in order to help families with their overwhelming schedules.   It's a quick and easy service but very effective for our community.
